Interested in meditation? How about qigong: slow moving exercises that include a standing meditation?
Whether you’re a beginner or a veteran of any discipline, you are welcome to join us every Sunday in Memorial Park on the shore of Prospect Lake in the heart of Colorado Springs.
This beautiful location has gigantic shade trees frequently visited by bald eagles and hawks. We face out to Prospect Lake backdropped by a spectacular view of the Front Range mountains. We practice right next to a playground, so bring your kids, there is plenty to do. Everyone is friendly and happy to help others learn.
Meditation is a way to shed the effects of the world so that you can reset and remember who you really are. It’s a way to get clear minded and find focus. It can separate you from your anxieties and help you find peace. In short, life is better with meditation.
We also practice qigong, an ancient form of slow-moving exercises which are easy to learn. We practice a set of four qigong exercises, each with several movements that we will be happy to share with you. These exercises compliment the meditation and bring balance to the body. There are surprising health benefits for those who practice qigong regularly.
The system of meditation and qigong we practice together is called Falun Dafa or Falun Gong. It is an authentic Chinese system that is thousands of years old but came out to the public in China in 1992. Since then, millions of people have learned the practice and found that their lives have changed for the better.
